Terms & Conditions
Last updated: 28 August 2026
These terms form an agreement between you and Anthony Kelly (“the Seller”, “we”, “us”), the operator of Yaqeen: Deen Companion (“Yaqeen”, “the app”). By continuing to use the app you agree to these terms.
1. The service
Yaqeen is an Islamic growth companion: a Quran reader with recitation audio, authentic Hadith collections, Sunnah practices, Quranic Arabic lessons, Islamic stories, worship tracking, and AI-assisted guidance grounded in verified sources. AI guidance is educational and reflective in nature; it is not a fatwa and is not a substitute for a qualified scholar.
2. Who may use it
You must be of legal age in your country to create an account and purchase a subscription. You are responsible for keeping your sign-in credentials confidential and for all activity under your account, and for providing accurate information when you register.
3. Licence and acceptable use
We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the app within your plan. You must not misuse the service, including:
- unlawful use, fraud, or spam;
- infringing intellectual property rights;
- interfering with security — malware, probing, scraping, or circumventing technical limits;
- reverse engineering, reselling, or redistributing the service;
- using the AI features to produce illegal content, hate speech, deepfakes, malware, or attempts to bypass safety controls.
4. AI-generated content
Guidance responses are generated by an AI model constrained to verified Quran and Hadith sources, and cited passages are checked against those sources before display. Even so, AI output may be inaccurate or incomplete. You are responsible for how you use it, for verifying anything that matters, and for the content of your prompts.
We may moderate prompts and outputs, refuse or filter responses, and suspend accounts that repeatedly abuse the AI features. If you believe content in the app infringes your rights, contact us through the Settings screen and we will review and remove it where appropriate.
5. Intellectual property
The Seller retains ownership of the app and its intellectual property — software, design, documentation, and branding. Quranic text, translations and Hadith texts remain the work of their respective publishers and datasets. You retain ownership of anything you write in the app; you grant us a limited licence to store and process it solely to provide the service.
6. Payments and subscriptions
Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns.
Payment, billing, tax, cancellation and refund mechanics are governed by Paddle's Buyer Terms. Subscriptions renew automatically at the selected interval until cancelled, which you can do at any time from Settings → Manage subscription.
7. Service level and warranties
The app is provided “as is”. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free performance, and we disclaim all implied warranties (including merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose) to the fullest extent permitted by law.
8. Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, consequential or special damages (including loss of profits, data or goodwill), and our aggregate liability is capped at the fees you paid in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms excludes liability for fraud, death, or personal injury where the law does not allow it.
9. Suspension and termination
We may suspend or terminate access for material breach of these terms, non-payment, security or fraud risk, or repeated or serious policy violations. When access ends, your on-device data stays on your device; synced cloud data is deleted when you delete your account, which you can do at any time from Settings.
10. General
You may not assign this agreement without our consent; we may assign it in connection with a merger or acquisition. We are not responsible for delays caused by events beyond our reasonable control. These terms are governed by the laws of the Seller's jurisdiction, and disputes will be heard in its courts unless local law gives you another right.
